In the field of health, RENAF strives to ensure equitable access to essential healthcare and to strengthen the capacities of local structures.

In 2025, RENAF organised 12 community health campaigns in the targeted areas, reaching 15,000 beneficiaries. All these interventions helped reduce morbidity linked to infectious diseases and improve health coverage in the most remote areas. This represents:

On 6 January 2026, healthcare workers at Mulungu Hospital, including Dr Onesphore, were tortured by the Walazendo. Medical and laboratory equipment was also looted. As a result, the healthcare workers decided to stop working because of these armed groups.
The Mulungu Hospital Centre was renovated in 2012 by RENAF with the support of Malteser International. Mulungu has a high rate of malaria, MPOX (monkeypox), as well as several waterborne and infectious diseases.
