“We are a large team. When I speak of the non-profit organization RENAF, I am referring to the psychologists, the teachers - I am referring to all the members of the organization.”-
Laurent Balagizi (RENAF Director)
Our team operates from RENAF’s main office in Bukavu as well as from our local branches located in different regions. We work closely with psychologists and teachers based at the heart of the communities, to whom we provide our support.

“As psychologists, we can work in schools to support children’s guidance and orientation.
There are children who are brought to primary school who have mental health problems.”

We are going to discuss the case of schoolchildren in schools that need to be renovated. We are helping to renovate schools so that pupils can receive a good education in good conditions.
We can see whether the child has the ability to continue with primary school education or whether it would be better for them to pursue other types of education that could help them. Parents can also contribute to the child's development and education. Some children have illnesses before they start school. We try to help parents understand their child's development and results. Neither teachers nor parents know whether the child has the ability to continue primary school or whether they should be directed towards other paths."
- Esther Nsimire
We can also help women who have been raped and victims of violence by organising activities that enable them to feel more secure financially, as they will have something to earn each day as income. This will help them to undertake other activities that will enable them to survive.
